Sen. Keith Wagoner, R-Sedro-Woolley, issued the following statement regarding the Oso mudslide memorial.

“I am proud to have helped secure funds in the 2021 capital budget for the 520 Slide Memorial. This memorial will serve as a place where the public, family and friends can come to remember the 43 individuals who were tragically taken from us.

“The memorial will also honor our front-line workers who worked tirelessly in the days and weeks after the mudslide to find survivors and recover those lost. As our communities continue to heal and rebuild from this disaster, this memorial will serve as a place of remembrance and resilience.”
